The United States does not want to increase any kind of hostility with Iran. However, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that if Tehran attacks Israel, it will continue to defend Israel.

Blinken met with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ali Tamim on Monday. "We don't want tension, but we will continue to support Israel's defense and the safety of our personnel in the region," he said at the start of the meeting. He called Iran's actions unprecedented.

Saudi Arabia gave the US information about the attack on Israel

Last Saturday, Iran fired more than three hundred drones and missiles at Israel. But most of it was destroyed before reaching Israel. And this has been possible with the help of the United States, Jordan and other allies.

According to Iran, this attack was carried out in retaliation for the deadly attack on Iran's diplomatic compound in Syria on the 1st of this month. Iran claims that Israel carried out the attack in Syria.

Blinken said he was involved in negotiations for 36 hours. Through this he wanted to coordinate a diplomatic response, which would prevent the crisis from spreading in the region.
